What to expect during your visit
During your appointment, the internist will conduct a detailed consultation and physical examination. If necessary, additional tests such as blood tests or radiographs may be performed. Once all results are available, the internist will collaborate with you to develop a customized treatment plan.

Dr. Jeanne Koeijers
Dr. Jeanne Koeijers is an Internist and Intensivist at Curaçao Medical Center (CMC), specializing in acute and complex internal medicine care. Her focus includes acute care, holistic patient care, and medical education.
She completed her medical training in the Netherlands at Maastricht University Medical Center (Maastricht UMC+), Máxima Medical Center in Eindhoven, and Zuyderland Medical Center in Heerlen, where she gained extensive experience in both internal medicine and intensive care.
Dr. Koeijers has been working in Curaçao since 2007, initially at SEHOS. Following the transition to Curaçao Medical Center on November 15, 2019, she continued her work at CMC.
She is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, with attention to the whole person, not just the illness. In addition to her clinical work, she is actively involved in the education and guidance of medical professionals.

Dr. Diederik Van de Wetering
Dr. Diederik Van de Wetering is an Internist-Infectiologist. He began his studies at the University Medical Center in Groningen. Later, he continued his studies at the Leiden University Medical Center where he received his PhD.
In 2013, Drs. Van de Wetering arrived in Curaçao and began working at St. Elisabeth Hospital and transitioned to CMC in 2019.
With expertise in general internal medicine and infectious diseases, Drs. Van de Wetering brings great knowledge and experience to the team at CMC.
Dr. Esther Rooijakkers
Dr. Esther Rooijakkers is an Internist-Infectiologist with a focus on Infectious Diseases. She completed her education at Maastricht University Medical Center.
Dr. Rooijakkers lives in Curaçao and has worked at Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) since the beginning of 2019.
As an internist, Drs. Rooijakkers treats patients ranging from 18 to 100+ years of age, each with a wide variety of health complaints. Whether from outpatients or the emergency department, it is challenging to identify the causes and interrelationships of these problems. She believes environmental factors often play a bigger role in health than people realize. While medication is sometimes necessary, lifestyle changes are often just as important, as in the case of diabetes. As an infectious disease specialist, she also works with diseases such as COVID, dengue and antibiotic resistance. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking or going snorkeling around Banda Bou.
Dr. Rachidah Griffith
Dr. Rachidah Griffith is an internist-endocrinologist with a focus on Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. She completed her education at the VU Medical Center, now part of Amsterdam UMC.
Dr. Griffith has been working in Curaçao since 2013 as an internist-endocrinologist. She specializes in hormonal disorders and the endocrine system, focusing on diagnosing and treating conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, and hormonal imbalances. She works alongside other specialists to ensure that patients receive the best possible care and are guided toward a healthy, balanced life.
Dr. Judella Daal
Dr. Judella Daal is a clinical geriatrician at Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) with significant experience in the care of older adults. She studied medicine at Radboud University and completed her degree in 1983. She specialized in clinical geriatrics at several hospitals in the Netherlands. Starting in 2000, she worked as a clinical geriatrician at Slotervaart Hospital in Amsterdam, VU Medical Center (VUMC), and Dijklander Hospital in Hoorn and Purmerend. As of April 2026, she is part of CMC, where she continues to provide high-quality geriatric care.
In her practice, chronological age is not always the main factor; biological age and overall health are often more important. Consequently, patients younger than 65 years may also be treated in geriatrics, particularly when they have multiple or complex medical conditions.
