Igor Gomez Bravio - Gynecologist
Igor Gomes Bravio obtained his General Physician degree from Universidad de Ciencias Medica, Costa Rica in 2000, his Specialization in Gynecology and Obstetrics from Universidad de Costa Rica, in 2007 ,and his specialization in Gyneologic Oncology from Universidad de Costa Rica. He is a subspecialist in gynecologic oncology with expertise in the diagnosis, management and follow up of all gynecologic cancers and pre-cancers. Gynecologic cancers are cancer that originate from the uterus body, uterine cervix, ovaries and tubes, vagina and vulva.
Precancerous lesions can develop in the lower genital tract (uterine cervix, vagina and vulva) and these are mostly related to HPV infection. In addition to gynecologic cancer treatments, his focus is also in advanced laparoscopic surgery, diagnosis, medical treatment and surgery for deeply infiltrating endometriosis.

Nurah Hammoud - Gynecologist
Nurah Hammoud, M.D. Ph.D. achieved her gynecology specialization while working in St Antonius Ziekenhuis Utrecht, St. Elisabeth Ziekenhuis, Tilburg (2017). She also worked as a gynecologist at OLVG Amsterdam, Noord- West Ziekenhuisgroep Alkmaar and St. Antonius Ziekenhuis Utrecht (2018-2020) Dr. Hammoud is originally from Curacao.
She is especially interested in the wide variety of gynecologic pathology, but is also a trainer in advanced trauma and life support of obstetric patients. She has had additional training in minimally invasive techniques and benign gynecology. Dr. Hammoud has a special interest in organization and management and has held several board functions during residency and as a gynecologist. She has also been a course instructor for the “Managing Obstetric Emergency and Trauma (M.O.E.T.)” course at Stichting ALSG, the Netherlands (from 2019 onwards) and has had several publications.

Hilde Holtsema - Gynaecologist
Hilda Holtsema is a Gynecologist, educated at University of Groningen and Radbout Nijmegen Medical Center in the Netherlands. Prior to Curaçao Medical Center, she worked at Ziekenhuis Gelderse Vallei (2006 – 2007), Alysis Zorggroep (2002-2003) and at St. Elizabeth hospital (1998-200 and 2011-2019) in Curacao.
She specializes in Obstetrics, which includes supervising (high-risk) pregnancies and deliveries, prenatal screening/diagnosis and preconception advice.

Vanessa Marcha - Gynecologist
Dr. Vanessa Marcha completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ghent University, Belgium. She joins the staff of Curaçao Medical Center as a young and enthusiastic gynecologist with diverse international experience. Alongside prenatal care, dr. Marcha has a special interest in Adolescent Gynecology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
As a y’ui di Korsou she is passionate in charting a path to eliminating health disparities, thereby enhancing women’s health. Dr.Marcha is fluent in four languages; Papiamentu, Spanish, English and Dutch with a special love for our traditional cultural expressions.
