Unusual vaginal discharge (flourine vaginalis)

Vaginal discharge should be liquid, transparent or white.

Overview

Vaginal discharge should be liquid, transparent or white.

If the vaginal discharge is accompanied by other complaints such as an unusual smell, itching, redness and pain, there may be a vaginal infection. The vaginal discharge is therefore often friable. The color can also be different: greenish-yellow or snow-white. It can also be a bit bloody and a bit brown.

Examination

The gynecologist does a gynecological examination and takes cultures.

Treatments

We can treat a vaginal infection with medication. To prevent a new vaginal infection, it is important that you do not wash your vagina with soap.
