WILLEMSTAD, January 22, 2026 – Today the CEO and Management Team of Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) welcomed the new Minister of Public Health, Environment and Nature, Mr. Tyron Boekhoudt, for an introductory visit focused on an introduction and presenting the hospital’s current situation, key challenges, and strategic priorities.
During the visit, there were open discussions on critical themes including the reduction of patient waiting lists and waiting times and the capacity pressures faced by several specializations.
As part of the program, the Minister toured some of the key departments, including the Dialysis Unit, where the importance of continuing the existing prevention campaign collaborations between GMN and CMC was emphasized. Both parties want a healthier community and to ease the burden on healthcare. CMC looks forward to continued collaboration with the Ministry.
