WILLEMSTAD, 22 di November 2024 – Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) wishes to clarify the reason for withdrawing its legal case against the Health Inspectorate. The case was initiated solely to gain access to critical documents and a recording in the possession of the Inspectorate, which were necessary for CMC to conduct a thorough investigation into an ongoing patient matter.
Since the Inspectorate has now voluntarily complied with CMC’s request and provided these documents, it is no longer necessary for CMC to continue the case. The decision to withdraw the case was made in light of this development and should not be interpreted as a loss or lack of merit. On the contrary, CMC has obtained the requested documents. This outcome enables CMC to maintain its commitment to transparency and accountability.
