Willemstad, August 5, 2026 — Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) has unveiled newly completed murals and interactive toys in its Pediatric Nursing Department, creating a brighter and more welcoming environment for children receiving care. The project was generously sponsored by Curaçao Airport Holding (CAH) and Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP), initiated, and coordinated by Ronald McDonald House Curaçao (RMH), reflecting a shared commitment to making the hospital experience more comfortable for children and their families.
“For children, being in a hospital can be unfamiliar and frightening. This is about much more than artwork. It is about creating an environment where children can feel a little less afraid and more at ease during what can be a stressful time,” said Claudia Rigaud, Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Curaçao.
The colorful murals bring warmth, imagination and comfort to the Pediatric Nursing Department. CAH and CAP also presented interactive toys as additional gifts to complement the murals and make the space even more engaging for young patients.
CMC and Ronald McDonald House also thank the artists, coordinators and everyone who contributed to bringing the project to life. Partnerships like these demonstrate how the community can come together to create meaningful improvements in the experience of our youngest patients.
