LIMA, February 2025 – RMHC Curaçao, proudly participated in the third FCC Conference hosted by RMHC Peru in Lima. This significant event, dedicated to promoting Family-Centered Care (FCC) in the region, took place at the Colegio de Médicos del Perú and gathered over 1,000 participants, including doctors, specialists, nurses, and medical students.

Representing RMHC Kòrsou, its director, Claudia Rigaud, was invited as a panelist in the session titled: Listening to and Engaging Families as a Pillar in Medical Treatment. During her presentation, she highlighted the remarkable achievements and progress of the FCC model at Curaçao Medical Center, serving as an inspiration for attendees and reinforcing CMC’s and RMHC’s  leadership in this approach.

The panel generated great interest among specialists, particularly from the Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño San Borja, who later extended an invitation to visit their facilities and learn how they have implemented strategies to keep families close to their hospitalized children.

Thanks to their dedication to the family-centered approach, RMHC and CMC are recognized as frontrunners in the region in implementing Family-Centered Care, setting a benchmark for other healthcare institutions.
