CMC Announces New Interim CFO

Willemstad, February 3rd  — Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) is pleased to announce that Lorraine Diaoen, a “yu di tera,” will assume the role of Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective February 4, 2026. In addition to overseeing the hospital’s financial strategy and performance, Ms. Diaoen will also be responsible for Operations, including Information Technology, Facilities, Capacity Planning, Purchasing, and Logistics.

Ms. Diaoen brings more than 25 years of international experience in finance, audit, and executive leadership across a wide range of sectors, including financial services, retail, FMCG, maritime services, and complex transformation environments. She is known for strengthening financial governance, optimizing operations, and translating financial insight into clear, actionable strategy. “I am deeply motivated to give back to Curaçao by helping build a sustainable healthcare system; it is both a professional responsibility and a personal commitment. Most recently, Ms. Diaoen served as Associate Director FP&A at Kao Business Services B.V., where her work included restructuring finance teams, streamlining budgeting cycles, and improving inventory and cash-flow management during periods of organizational transformation.

Ms. Diaoen is a Chartered Accountant (RA) and holds a Master’s degree in Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. She began her academic career in Curaçao, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Curaçao. Her return to Curaçao combines international expertise with deep local understanding and commitment.

In her interim role, Ms. Diaoen will focus on ensuring continuity while supporting CMC’s strategic objectives as the organization continues to evolve.
