On November 15, 2019, CMC opened amidst high hopes and emotional anticipation, with the first patient symbolizing a new era of healthcare for the island. Merely months after opening, CMC faced the COVID-19 pandemic, a global crisis that tested the hospital’s resolve, stretched its resources, and demanded immense commitment from the staff. Through it all, CMC persevered.

Today, for the first time in four years, the waiting list for patients has been reduced to below 1,000—a remarkable achievement demonstrating CMC’s commitment to timely, accessible healthcare. This commitment to quality is further highlighted by CMC’s pursuit of Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation, a globally recognized standard for healthcare excellence. In 2023, the patient satisfaction surveys reported an overall score of 8.6, with the Radiotherapy department receiving an impressive 9.2 rating for its personalized and efficient service—a testament to CMC’s promise to “Serve with Love.”
